Perkhidmatan kecemasan · Singapura
Police, fire and ambulance crews work 24/7 rosters, extended shifts and unpredictable call-outs. Fatigue impairs decisions under pressure and makes emergency driving and the drive home riskier.

No published Singapore rule sets duty hours, rest or fatigue limits for firefighters, paramedics or police. Uniformed officers sit outside the Employment Act, so rostering rests on internal Home Team policy. MOM's fatigue guidelines, which flag shift and night work, are the nearest published benchmark. Private ambulance and security contractors carry the full baseline.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (fire and ambulance) and the Singapore Police Force are Home Team departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Their uniformed officers are civil servants outside the Employment Act, with duty rosters set by internal Home Team policy. Private ambulance operators are licensed by MOH and fall under the baseline.
No published rule sets shift length or rest for SCDF or SPF officers; rostering is governed by internal Home Team policy. MOM's fatigue guidelines recommend shifts of no more than 12 hours including overtime and caution over safety-critical work between 2am and 6am. Private ambulance operators and other contractors carry the baseline duties, including Employment Act hours caps for staff within the salary thresholds.
No published penalty regime addresses fatigue in the uniformed services; accountability runs through internal discipline, inquiries and Parliament. Private operators face baseline WSH Act penalties - up to S$500,000 for a company and S$200,000 and/or two years' jail for an individual (WSH Act maxima, 2026) - and Employment Act hours breaches of up to S$5,000 per offence.
For the uniformed services, fatigue costs show up in incidents, injuries and attrition rather than fines. For private operators, baseline figures apply: WSH Act fines up to S$500,000 for a company (2026) and work injury compensation of up to S$269,000 for a death (from 1 November 2025).
Dalam rekod
No Singapore court, coroner, investigator or regulator has published a finding linking fatigue to an incident in emergency services. Fatigue risk still falls under the Workplace Safety and Health Act duty and MOM's fatigue management guidelines.

Sleepfit screens sleep health across your responders. The WSH Act binds the Government (s 3), so your risk assessment duty in reg 3 of the Risk Management Regulations applies; no rule names a sleep screen. It screens; diagnosis stays with your clinicians.
Tentang SleepfitFatiguefit4Duty records a point-of-duty fatigue check for your responders, supporting your duty under s 12(1) of the WSH Act, which binds the Government (s 3). No rule names the check. A fitness-for-duty check, not a fitness-for-duty decision - the duty call stays with you.
